David Bowie’s band The Konrads topped the bill at Wickham Hall on Thursday 24 October 1963.
The event was a day-long pop show. Wickham Hall was on Sussex Road in West Wickham, Kent.
The Konrads took to the stage at 11:30pm. Also on the bill was The Trubeats, a band featuring Bowie’s former schoolmate Peter Frampton on guitar.
Bowie painted the cartoon-like illustrations on the panels which were used as the stage backdrop for The Konrads.
