Davie Jones and the Lower Third’s third performance at Bournemouth’s Pavilion Ballroom took place on Friday 23 July 1965.
They were on a bill headed by Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers, and which also included Roger and the Rallies. The compere Neil Anderson joined the Lower Third on vocals briefly during their set.
At the time, the Rebel Rousers included pianist Roy Young, who played on David Bowie’s 1977 album Low.
