David Bowie and the Lower Third performed at the New Barn Club in Brighton on Saturday 13 November 1965.
The club had opened as a live music venue in the summer of 1965. Situated at 75a West Street in Brighton, in early 1966 it became Club One-O-One. Other big names to have performed there included the Who, Small Faces, and John Mayall’s the Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton.
Bowie performed there again on Saturday 12 March 1966 with the Buzz, by which time the venue had been renamed Club One-O-One.
