David Bowie and the Lower Third appeared for the eighth time at London’s Marquee Club on Saturday 8 January 1966.
They had played at the venue only the night before. This time, however, it was an afternoon performance for Radio London’s Saturday Show.
New Year 1966 marked our return to the Marquee and our first evening gig at our ‘home’ venue in a while. This was followed the next afternoon by the return of the Saturday afternoon Radio London Inecto shows. These appearances would not only be the last of these promotional afternoons gigs, they were among the last-ever shows for David Bowie and The Lower Third.
