David Bowie and the Buzz performed at Dunstable’s California Ballroom on Saturday 23 April 1966.
They were on a bill with Frankenstein and the Monsters, the Flashbakks, and the Avengers.
From 1960-1979 the 2,000-capacity California Ballroom was one of the largest music venues in the south east of England. Bowie had previously played there on 13 February 1965 with the Manish Boys.
The building was demolished in 1980 and a housing estate was built on the site.
