David Bowie and the Buzz performed at Downs Hotel in Hassocks, West Sussex, on Sunday 24 July 1966.
Downs was run by brothers John and Mick Bundy, and was a popular venue in the mid-Sixties. Other acts who played there included the Pretty Things, the Who, the Hollies, the Small Faces, the Move, Deep Purple, and the Yardbirds. It was situated on Keymer Road, but was later demolished.
