David Bowie’s first live show with the Riot Squad took place at the Woodlands Youth Centre in Basildon, Essex, on 17 March 1967.
Woodlands Youth Centre was attached to Woodlands School, and played host to a number of rising stars during its time, which lasted well into the punk era.
