David Bowie took part in a recording session by Glaswegian beat group The Beatstalkers on 27 March 1968.
With Tony Head of Dave Antony’s Moods, Bowie performed backing vocals on two of his own compositions, ‘Everything Is You’ and ‘When I’m Five’. The session took place at CBS Studios at 104 New Bond Street, London.
This was the only Beatstalkers session on which Bowie took part, and he was paid a £9 session fee for his participation.
The Beatstalkers were another act looked after by Bowie’s manager Kenneth Pitt. Bowie and the Beatstalkers shared a bill on 25 July 1965 at Bournemouth’s Pavilion Ballroom.
