David Bowie’s screen test for the film The Virgin Soldiers was due to take place on 17 July 1968, so on 12 July he attended a costume fitting.
The fitting took place at theatrical costumiers Bermans (M Berman Ltd), situated at 18 Irving Street, Leicester Square, London. Bowie had a role as an extra in The Virgin Soldiers, and filmed his parts at Twickenham from 29 October to 4 November 1968.
