David Bowie’s final day on the set of The Virgin Soldiers took place on 4 November 1968.
The shoot took place at Twickenham Film Studios in London. Bowie had a role as an extra, and appeared in the finished film during a bar scene. He had started work on the set on 29 October.
The Virgin Soldiers went on general release in October 1969. It was directed by John Dexter and starred Lynn Redgrave, Hywel Bennett, Nigel Davenport, and Nigel Patrick.
