David Bowie and his manager Kenneth Pitt flew from London via Paris to Munich on 10 November 1968.
The trip was for an appearance on the German TV show Für Jeden Etwas Musik (Music For Everyone) the following day. He is believed to have performed ‘When I Live My Dream’ on the show.
David and I shared Room 14 of the Hotel Cristallo, Hirtenstrasse 20. The following morning we were picked up and taken to the studio, where David performed the mime routine and sang one song, for which he received DM 2000 and, in addition, DM 566 for his expenses.
