Although he was on tour with Humble Pie, David Bowie returned to Beckenham to perform at the Three Tuns pub on 12 October 1969.
Among the audience members was Belgian broadcaster Ward Bogaert, who had interviewed Bowie the previous day.
This was Bowie’s 20th performance at the Three Tuns, and one of his regular Sunday night shows known as Growth – the Beckenham Arts Lab. On this occasion Bogaert recorded Bowie announcing another performer, the Erotic Roger Kany, as “the very erratic Roger Kany”.
