Live: Gun Tavern, Croydon

David Bowie performed a solo set at Croydon’s Gun Tavern on 18 November 1969.

This was part of the Egg Workshop Arts Lab, one of a number of arts labs set up in the late 60s, similar to Bowie’s own Growth – the Beckenham Arts Lab.

On this night Bowie also performed with Medicine Hat, the other act on the bill.

Also on this day...

  1. That was an interesting night; the only song I remember was The Port of Amsterdam. David and Angie looked the same: really skinny and big hair.
