Live: Three Tuns, Beckenham

David Bowie’s final engagement of 1969 was a show at the Three Tuns pub in Beckenham.

This was his 28th appearance at the pub. Earlier in 1969 he had co-founded Growth – the Beckenham Arts Lab, which took place every Sunday and occasionally Thursdays at the Three Tuns.

Although his interest in it was waning by this time, Bowie’s only live dates in the whole of December 1969 were Beckenham Arts Lab events.
