David Bowie and his band finished a three-day rehearsal period on 4 January 1972.
It was ahead of more recording sessions for The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars, two forthcoming BBC radio session, and the beginning of the Ziggy Stardust Tour at the end of the month.
The rehearsals took place from 4-6 January at Underhill Studios at 1-3 Blackheath Road in Blackheath, London. The basement studio, a former Co-Op grocery store underneath a chemist’s, was run by Will Palin, who later joined Bowie’s road crew.
