David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars performed at Manchester’s Free Trade Hall on 21 April 1972.
It was the 19th date of the Ziggy Stardust Tour, which had begun on 29 January.
On this occasion Bowie was supported by the Sutherland Brothers. In the audience were future Joy Division members Ian Curtis and Stephen Morris.
Bowie had previously performed at the Free Trade Hall on 22 February 1969. The Ziggy Stardust Tour returned to the venue on 7 June 1973.
