David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars performed at Manchester’s Hardrock Concert Theatre on 3 September 1972.
Bowie had performed at the Hardrock the night before, on 2 September. On both occasions the support act was Iguana, whose piano player Roy Young played on Bowie’s Low album.
This was the 54th date of the Ziggy Stardust tour, which had begun on 29 January 1972.
The Hardrock closed in October 1975. The Ziggy Stardust Tour returned to the venue on 28 and 29 December 1972.
