David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars performed at Santa Monica’s Civic Auditorium on 21 October 1972.
It was the 68th date of the Ziggy Stardust Tour, which had begun on 29 January 1972. It was also the second of two consecutive nights at the Civic Auditorium.
The show was a sell-out, due in part to the previous night’s live broadcast on KMET-FM, and the relentless support from LA nightclub owner and Bowie acolyte Rodney Bingenheimer.
