David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars performed at Dundee’s Caird Hall on 17 May 1973.
It was the 114th date of the Ziggy Stardust Tour, which had begun on 29 January 1972.
The second gig on our 1973 UK tour, on May 17th at Caird Hall, Dundee was another stormer, and David Bowie came very close to being injured after the gig, when leaving the venue by the stage door. Bodyguard Stuey George earned his wages again that evening in Dundee when he pulled David clear of the hysterical fans. We all went back to the Angus Hotel and had a late evening in the bar, and Mick Ronson and I drank several Irish Coffees.
