David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars performed at Edinburgh’s Empire Theatre on 19 May 1973.
It was the 116th date of the Ziggy Stardust tour, which had begun on 29 January 1972. This was the tour’s final date in Scotland.
The concert began at an unusually late 11.30pm due to the bingo session earlier in the evening. After the show David and Angela Bowie visited an Edinburgh gay club.
The gig was another good one; it seemed to be that they were all good ones these days. David and the band, and the road crew, were now a well oiled little machine and the Aladdin Sane tour was the talk of the United Kingdom.
