Having completed three days of rehearsals, David Bowie and the Diamond Dogs Tour cast and crew left New York for Montreal on 12 June 1974.
Bowie was driven on the nine-hour journey by Jim James, and accompanied by assistant Coco Schwab and bodyguard Stuey George.
The Diamond Dogs Tour kicked off in Montreal on 14 June.
