Iggy Pop performed at Newcastle’s City Hall on 2 March 1977.
It was the second night of The Idiot Tour, for which David Bowie played keyboards. The other band members were Ricky Gardiner on guitar, Tony Sales on bass guitar, and Hunt Sales on drums.
The tour opened in Aylesbury on 1 March 1977. The support act for the UK shows was the Vibrators.
Bowie had performed at City Hall with the Manish Boys on 5 December 1964. The Ziggy tour also called there on 2 June 1972 and 7 January, 8 June, and 30 June 1973.
He performed there again during the Isolar II Tour on 14, 15, and 16 June 1978.
