Iggy Pop performed at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre on 28 March 1977.
It was the 18th date of The Idiot Tour, for which David Bowie played keyboards, and the second of two consecutive nights at the Riviera. The other band members were Ricky Gardiner on guitar, Tony Sales on bass guitar, and Hunt Sales on drums.
The tour opened in Aylesbury on 1 March 1977. Blondie was the support act for the North American shows.
Bowie and the Sales brothers performed at the Riviera Theatre again on 7 December 1991 during Tin Machine’s It’s My Life Tour.
