David Bowie performed at the World Music Theatre in Tinley Park, Illinois, on 16 June 1990, as part of the Sound+Vision Tour.
This was the 55th date of the tour, which began on 4 March in Quebec City, and the second of two consecutive nights at Tinley Park.
Bowie’s guitarist was Adrian Belew, who was also the musical director. Erdal Kızılçay played bass guitar, Rick Fox was on keyboards, and Michael Hodges was on drums.
The venue was renamed the New World Music Theatre from 1995-2001. Bowie performed there again on 1 October 1995 during the Outside Tour. He returned for a final time on 8 August 2002 for the Heathen Tour, by which time it was known as the Tweeter Center.
