David Bowie performed at Berlin’s Deutschlandhalle on 1 February 1996, as part of the Outside Tour.
It was the 54th date of the tour, which began on 14 September in Hartford, USA.
Bowie’s guitarists were Carlos Alomar and Reeves Gabrels. Mike Garson played piano and keyboards, Gail Ann Dorsey was on bass guitar, and Zack Alford was on drums. Peter Schwartz played synthesizer and was the musical director, and George Simms was on backing vocals and keyboards.
Bowie had previously performed at the Deutschlandhalle on 10 April 1976 during the Isolar Tour, and 16 May 1978 for the Isolar II Tour, and 8 April 1990 for the Sound+Vision Tour. The Deutschlandhalle was demolished in December 2011.
