David Bowie appeared at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris, France, on 14 October 1999, as part of the Hours Tour.
It was the fourth show of the nine-date tour, which lasted from August to December 1999.
Mark Plati and Page Hamilton were on guitar; Gail Ann Dorsey was on bass guitar, vocals; Mike Garson played piano, keyboards, and synthesisers; Sterling Campbell was on drums; and Emm Gryner, Holly Palmer were on backing vocals.
The performance was filmed and recorded. Three songs – ‘Survive’, ‘Thursday’s Child’, and ‘Seven’ – appeared on the second UK ‘Survive’ CD single.
An edited recording of the show was released on streaming services on 14 August 2020 as the live album Something In The Air (Live Paris 99), with a physical release following on 12 March 2021.
