David Bowie performed at London’s Carling Apollo Hammersmith on 2 October 2002, as part of the Heathen Tour.
It was the 28th date of the tour, which began on 29 November at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
Earl Slick was on guitar, Gerry Leonard played guitar and keyboards, and Mark Plati played guitar, bass guitar, and keyboards. Gail Ann Dorsey was on bass guitar, guitar, and backing vocals, and Mike Garson played keyboards. Sterling Campbell was on drums, and Catherine Russell played keyboards and percussion and sang backing vocals.
Bowie had previously performed at the Hammersmith Odeon, as it was then known, at the end of the Ziggy Stardust Tour on 2 and 3 July 1973, and on 30 June 1983 during the Serious Moonlight Tour.
