David Bowie performed at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, on 26 February 2004, as part of A Reality Tour.
It was the 59th date of the tour, which began on 7 October 2003 in Copenhagen, and the first of two consecutive nights in Melbourne.
Earl Slick and Gerry Leonard played guitar, Gail Ann Dorsey was on bass guitar and vocals, and Mike Garson played keyboards and piano. Sterling Campbell was on drums, and Catherine Russell played keyboards, percussion, guitar and sang backing vocals.
During the band introductions ‘Happy Birthday’ was sung to Gerry Leonard, who was celebrating his 42nd birthday.
