David Bowie performed at the Nokia Isle of Wight Festival 2004 in Newport, Isle of Wight, on 13 June 2004, as part of A Reality Tour.
It was the 107th date of the tour, which began on 7 October in Copenhagen, and Bowie’s final appearance in the UK.
Bowie headlined the final day of the festival. Also appearing on this day were The Charlatans, Snow Patrol, Delays, Suzanne Vega, The Ordinary Boys, and Jerry Fish and the Mudbug Club. The previous days’ headliners were Stereophonics and The Who.
Earl Slick and Gerry Leonard played guitar, Gail Ann Dorsey was on bass guitar and vocals, and Mike Garson played keyboards and piano. Sterling Campbell was on drums, and Catherine Russell played keyboards, percussion, guitar and sang backing vocals.
This was Bowie’s first show on the Isle of Wight since an appearance as Davie Jones and the Lower Third on 7 August 1965.
