Live From The Manhattan Center ’99 was a three-track digital EP released to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the ‘Thursday’s Child’ single.

The songs were recorded at the Manhattan Center in New York City on 23 August 1999 for the BBC TV show Top Of The Pops. They were taped prior to Bowie’s appearance for VH1 Storytellers that evening, but were not broadcast and remained unreleased until 2024.

The digital EP was announced on 19 September 2024, the day before its release.

Tomorrow (20th September) sees the 25th anniversary of the release of Thursday’s Child, the first single from ‘hours…’.

In celebration of that fact, Parlophone will issue the LIVE FROM THE MANHATTAN CENTER ’99 DIGITAL EP which features three previously unreleased live tracks recorded for the U.K. TV show Top Of The Pops but not broadcast at the time. The recording was made on the same day and at the same venue as David’s VH1 Storytellers performance.
